Alcatel One Touch Premiere is an entry-level smartphone that has just made its debut in the United States via US Cellular carrier.
Although it’s an affordable Android phone, the One Touch Premier is advertised as “the first premium messaging phone” launched by US Cellular.
According to the carrier, Alcatel One Touch Premier should be paired with its enhanced messaging plan today, dubbed Messaging Plus.
Furthermore, US Cellular confirms that the smartphone “offers an enhanced messaging and mobile web experience that includes pre-loaded applications and quick access to weather, maps, navigation, email, web browsing and social media.”
Alcatel One Touch Premiere is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and probably packs a 600-800 MHz low performance processor.
Obviously, the phone comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, but also offers users the advantages of a touchscreen display.
In this regard, Alcatel One Touch Premier sports a decent QVGA 2.8-inch capacitive touch display that support 320 x 240 pixels resolution.
On the back, the One Touch Premiere handset packs a sub-par 2-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash and video recording capabilities.
Even though there’s no mention of the storage amount, Alcatel One Touch Premiere features microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). In addition, the carrier has also confirmed that the smartphone will be shipped with a free 2GB memory card in the sales package.
“Our goal is to provide U.S. customers with quality devices at prices affordable on any budget. The ONE TOUCH Premiere does just that, giving consumers a great messaging phone that's loaded with features and is easy to use,” said Rayford Higginbotham, executive director for North America.
