Rachel Zoes Fashion Empire Is Crumbling

Once dubbed the world's most powerful celebrity stylist, Rachel Zoe has come upon harder times. A new report suggests that her huge fashion empire is on the verge of crumbling to pieces, as interest in all she has to offer is taking a serious dive.

Granted, Rachel will always be the go-to stylist for the stars, her client list still including the likes of Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner and Demi Moore.

It's in her other endeavors that she's failing, a new report in PageSix claims.

Sources close to Zoe claim that both her fashion line with Chinese retail giant Li & Fung and her reality show are with one foot through the door – or in the grave, for a bit more accuracy.

“Despite the large promotional platform of her Bravo show, we hear the line isn’t doing well at stores including Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom, with industry insiders snipping that interest in the line has 'peaked',” PageSix writes.

“We hear Li & Fung 'is panicked' about Zoe’s collection, and there are also rumblings that 'The Rachel Zoe Project' may not return to Bravo for a fifth season,” the same report notes.

With both these projects over, Rachel would have little to fall back on, except for her career as a celebrity stylist, which is also the thing that put her on the map.

“To add insult to injury, sources tell us that Zoe’s assistant, interior designer Jeremiah Brent, is getting his own reality show on the network. Brent, who redecorated Zoe’s Hollywood home on the show, appeared on 'Zoe Project' in Season 4, having been fired and rehired by Zoe and her husband, Rodger Berman,” PageSix goes on to say.

The e-zine also contacted Zoe's people for a denial or confirmation of the rumor, but all is radio silence on that front.

Li & Fung, on the other hand, have issued a statement to say they're happy with the line, which, like any other has “its ebbs and flows.” In other words, yes, some issues do exist but they're probably not as serious as the report makes them to be.
