Nimbuzz has just announced the availability of a new flavor of their popular application for devices running under the now ancient Symbian operating system.
The new flavor of the mobile client, released as version 3.4.0, brings along not only a series of improvements, but also some cool new features, the development team notes.
The main enhancements in this application version include Chatrooms with Location & Language Filters, various touch improvements, support for Bengali language, and the inclusion of a Feedback page.
“You can now sort and search rooms based on languages & location. This helps you get to the intended room in an easier and faster manner. No more scrolling through the list of rooms. Just set the filter as per your wish and get going,” Sharad Sharma, product manager, Symbian, explains.
For those Symbian users who own touchscreen handsets, Nimbuzz now comes with a series of improvements to make their navigation easier than before.
Some of these changes include:
- Swipe through tabs – Move quickly between tabs by swiping left or right
- Single touch – Single touch gets things done – fast and easy. Tap once to enter Chats or enter Dialler
- Split screen keyboard – Makes typing easy as a breeze
Additionally, there is support for Bengali language, complemented by the addition of a Feedback page, so that users could easily share their ideas with the development team.
