Today, mobile phone maker LG Electronics officially confirmed the availability of its QuickMemo feature for the entire set of devices included in its Optimus L-Series.
Users will receive the new feature by means of a maintenance update, which is already being delivered in various regions.
The software update is being rolled out gradually, but the mobile phone maker expects for all users to receive it before the end of the third quarter of the year.
With this capability inside their handsets, users can easily write, draw, or jot a memo straight to the captured screen with the use of their fingers.
Moreover, owners of LG smartphones can easily share their QuickMemo notes with friends via text, chat, or email.
Following the upgrade, LG L-Series device owners will be able to invoke QuickMemo either through pressing the volume keys or via the notification bar.
“The QuickMemo is one of the representing features for LGâs UX (user experience) to enhance the quality of communication by sharing ideas with more personalization.” said Paul Bae, vice president of marketing center of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
The release of QuickMemo on Optimus L-Series smartphones will be accompanied by a global TV commercial called “Connect to What’s Real,” LG announced.
Users interested in grabbing the update will have to go to LG Mobile’s homepage or head out to a service center in the markets where Optimus L-Series are sold.
The upgrade will be available for all Optimus L7, L5, and L3 smartphones. According to LG, these devices “offer timeless style without sacrificing any features or functionality in black or white body.” The company also confirmed the upcoming availability of a pink color edition of the series.
