Free Diablo 3 Starter Edition Now Available on Battle.net

Blizzard has finally released the Diablo 3 Starter Edition, which allows anyone interested in the role-playing dungeon crawler to try the game out for free by simply registering for a Battle.net account.

Diablo 3 came out three months ago and each new retail copy had a special voucher that allowed a Battle.net user to play the game's Starter Edition free of charge.

Now, this trial version of Diablo III has finally been made available to all Battle.net users.

Those interested in the game should create a Battle.net account or log into their existing one. They must then go to the Your Game Accounts section and sign up for the Diablo 3 Starter Edition.

They'll then have to download the game's client and wait until all files are received.

After that, they can start up the game and progress until level 13 or until they reach the Skeleton King boss in Act I.

If Starter Edition players decide to buy the full version of Diablo 3, they'll be able to immediately pick up from where they left off with all their gear intact.
