Darksiders 2 PC Issues Will Be Patched, Vigil Says

Vigil Games, the developer of the recently released Darksiders II hack and slash game has pledged to resolve the variety of issues that are affecting the game’s PC version, from the visual problems, to the various glitches that prevent players from progressing through the story.

Darskiders 2 came out last week in North America and this week in Europe for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms.

Sadly, while it delivered a top-notch hack and slash experience, the game was affected by quite a few issues, mainly on the PC platform, where features didn’t work as intended, like the Vsync option, or where various glitches prevented players from progressing through the story.

Now, Vigil has released a statement, via Kotaku, confirming that its team is working around the clock to solve all the problems found by the community.

“Your feedback is incredibly important to us, so we have been working around the clock to address issues that some of you have been having, as well as adding features you have requested. The team is prioritizing finding solutions to these issues,” the studio said.

Among the issues that will be fixed are the Vsync and shadow map problems, as well as the various bugs that keep players from progressing through the game.

All these things will be solved through several patches in the weeks to come, according to the studio.

“We are working on fixes for a number of bugs which can potentially block progression that have come to our attention, while also exploring adding additional features you have been asking for. This work includes vsync updates, improved shadow map resolution, X-axis options and additional keyboard mapping options (amongst other community requests). We hope to roll out a number of patches to address these issues in the weeks to come.”

Until these updates appear, Darksiders II PC owners should probably fill their time with something else.
