Bootstrap 2.1 Is the Latest Update to Twitter's Popular Open Source Project


Twitter's been the target of a lot of developer anger lately, so maybe it's about time it did something to offset that. While it probably wasn't timed, the release of Bootstrap 2.1, a rather popular and powerful web app toolset.

It's designed to make it easier for developers to develop solid, scalable websites and apps. As the basis of Twitter itself, it needs no further credentials.

The entire project is open source and anyone can leverage as the basis for their own work. And many have, Twitter boasts that it's one of the most popular GitHub projects at this point.

It's one of the most involving as well, over 100 people have contributed to the Bootstrap code so far, with only two working on it full time at Twitter. And it's yours to own for the low, low price of nothing.
