ZTE Announces Anthem 4G for MetroPCS

In addition to Blade III, ZTE has unveiled a new Android-based smartphone that will hit shelves in the coming weeks, this time in the United States, namely the ZTE Anthem 4G.

The new device will make an appearance at MetroPCS in the not too distant future as the very first 4G LTE-enabled smartphone that ZTE launches in the United States.

The ZTE Anthem 4G packs a dual-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor inside, while featuring a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display on the front, capable of delivering a WVGA resolution.

The new smartphone promises a great experience to all users, especially to those who like sharing content with their friends and family.

The phone offers HD video output via a HDMI connector, enabling users to easily view videos on large screens at their homes and elsewhere.

In addition to enabling the sharing of HD videos through the HDMI port, Anthem 4G also comes with Dolby Surround Audio for a complete multimedia playback experience.

“As our first U.S. 4GLTE smartphone, we're proud to launch the Anthem 4G with our long-time partner MetroPCS because we share their goal of providing consumers with outstanding value and a strong 4GLTE experience,” said Lixin Cheng, CEO, ZTE USA, and president, North America Region, ZTE.

The specs list of this device also includes dual microphones with noise cancellation, as well as all the benefits of Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. It also comes with support for MetroPCS' 4GLTE Mobile Hotspot service.

The mobile phone is set to become available for purchase in the coming weeks through MetroPCS’ online store at $219 plus tax after mail-in-rebate, but only for a limited time.

“Available with any of MetroPCS' tax and regulatory fee-inclusive 4GLTE service plans ranging from $40 - $70 per month and including the new $55 unlimited 4GLTE promotional plan, the ZTE Anthem 4G makes it possible for value-conscious customers to experience the power of MetroPCS' 4GLTE network,” ZTE notes.
