Sprint Launches 4G LTE in Five New Markets

Today, wireless carrier Sprint has announced the availability of its 4G LTE services in five new markets in the United States, including Wichita, KS; Topeka, KS; Lawrence, KS; Waukegan-Lake County, IL; and Barnstable-Hyannis/Mid-Cape, MA.

The company has also announced that these are only some of the markets planned to receive access to 4G LTE services soon.

New sites are set to be turned on in the coming days and weeks, so that many more users will benefit from access to the wireless carrier’s advanced connectivity capabilities.

“With the addition of 4G LTE service our network in these areas can handle more voice and data traffic. The network upgrades will make sending text messages, surfing the web, sharing photos and downloading videos easier, faster and more reliable,” the carrier notes.

Sprint’s LTE service will enable users to access emails fast, while also enabling them to easily share various content with their friends and family.

The company is also committed to continue expanding the 4G LTE network, while also working on improving its existing 3G service, Sprint has announced.

“In addition to the 19 cities we have already launched, we recently announced that Sprint 4G LTE will be available in more than 100 cities in the coming months,” said Bob Azzi, senior vice president-Network, Sprint.

“Today’s news moves us even further toward achieving that goal. We strive to deliver a top-notch network experience combined with winning devices and unlimited nationwide data plans – all of which are designed to support the ways our customers use their mobile devices today and tomorrow.”

Sprint will also continue to offer its users the Everything Data plan with Any Mobile, Anytime, which includes unlimited data, texting and calling to any mobile in America on the Sprint network. The plan is priced starting at $79.99 per month for smartphones (pricing excludes taxes and surcharges).

At the moment, Sprint’s 4G LTE network is available in 24 cities, but should reach many more in the coming months.
