Samsung Launching GALAXY Y Duos Lite on September 5

It looks like Samsung plans to release a cheaper version of the Galaxy Duos smartphone, which was announced a few weeks ago.

However, it appears that the South Korean company has yet to decide on the phone’s name tag. For the time being, the device appears as both Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and Pocket Duos on Samsung India online store.

Anyway, Samsung states that the handset will go on sale on September 5 in India, though there are no details on pricing options yet.

Samsung Galaxy Y Duos Lite is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and packs an 83 MHz single core processor.

Furthermore, the handset sports a small 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 2-megapixel rear camera, 2GB of storage and a 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery. It is also worth mentioning the smartphone will be shipped with a free 8GB microSD memory card in the sale package.
