PureOS 6.0 Has GNOME 3.4.2


PureOS, a Live CD distribution that allows the user to discover and use a GNU/Linux operating system without modifying the contents of the hard-disk, is now at version 6.0.

PureOS 6.0 is based on Debian Testing and it uses GNOME 3.4 as the default desktop environment.

Highlights of PureOS 6.0:

• Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.5.3;
• GNOME (with GNOME Shell and GNOME Classic sessions) has been updated to version 3.4.2;
• Chromium has been updated to version 21.0;
• Evince and Eye of GNOME have been added;
• Scripts for modules management have been added: activate, debs2lzm, debs2lzm-file, dir2lzm, lzm2dir and find2lzm;
• smxi/sgfxi scripts have been added to the distribution;
• The artwork has been improved.
