Kris Jenner Says She Filmed Her Breast Surgery to Help Others

It’s a well known fact that the Kardashians keep no secrets from the world, documenting every juicy aspect of their life for their successful E! reality show. As such, it’s no surprise that Kris Jenner allowed cameras inside the hospital room where she was getting breast surgery.

Jenner sat down for an interview with NBC’s The Today Show (right during the 9/11 moment of silence, as we also informed you yesterday) to explain why she chose to let the TV crew film that very intimate experience.

She doesn’t consider it TMI but rather a PSA of sorts, meant to “help others” understand that they too should “listen to their body” and change the implants when their time is up.

The interview is below, embedded at the end of this article.

“I thought it was such a great idea to film that. The reason I went in and did that was because I had had my implants in for 152 years – you know, a long time, way longer than their shelf life,” Jenner explains.

She goes on to argue that she expects women with surgically enhanced breasts to learn from her and do the same: take out the implants when it’s due time and have them replaced.

“You know, take them out and change them after 10 years,” she says.

“That was a big message and important for me to sort of put out there in a comical way. You know, I made fun of myself. Because at my age, you’re over 50 – like, when do you stop? But it was so important, health-wise, to remind women to check your expiration date because it’s a health risk,” Jenner adds.

As we were also telling you yesterday, NBC came under serious fire for running this interview with Jenner at the exact moment when all the other networks (and the entire nation as well) were observing a moment of silence in memory of those who lost their lives in the 9/11 attack.

The move was seen as reeking of desperation, prompting a lot of sneers online about how NBC was choosing ratings (and the Kardashians) over common sense.
