Kate Hudson Lost All Pregnancy Weight by Working Out 6 Hours a Day


Kate Hudson gave birth to her second child in July this year and, today, she’s already looking her best. On the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival this year to promote a new film, she showed off her enviable figure, which, she says, she got after a strenuous workout.

They say looking good is never easy and it’s certainly no exception where Kate is concerned. To lose the pregnancy weight after her second child, Kate worked for a whopping 6 hours a day, for every single day until she got to her goal weight.

Knowing how hard it was for her to bounce back to top shape after her first pregnancy, Kate did not want to take any second chances this time, so she set her mind to giving it all.

“All” in this case meant six hours a day in the gym – almost a daytime job, some might argue.

“I devoted six hours a day to a vigorous workout regime. I would do 45 or 55 minutes of cardio then an hour of Pilates or yoga, three times a day,” Kate told Star Magazine, as cited by the British tabloid the Daily Mail.

Of course, she couldn’t have gotten these amazing results without sticking to a healthy diet as well.

Even though she’s quite averse to dieting, Kate admits to calorie counting to shed the extra pregnancy weight.

It was a hard thing to do, she says in the same interview with the celebrity publication.

“I’m not a dieter. I’m in the wrong family to be a dieter. My mum is always making chicken and dumplings. And I love scones, with clotted cream and jam. I can’t not eat them!” Hudson admits.

On the other hand, working out so intensely couldn’t have been so hard for the star considering that she’s always featured in glossies for her rock hard body, which she maintains with regular workouts and healthy eating.
