Intels Pat Gelsinger Was Offered AMD Rory Reads Job

AMD has been in a dark place during the past year or so, as many of the company’s leaders have left the company, and the Board of Directors actually spent many months searching for a new CEO.

In an interesting twist, it has reportedly been revealed that even Intel’s Pat Gelsinger was one of the approached candidates, but it seems that AMD’s financial division was not able to top off the offer he got from EMC.

We have our doubts about Mr. Gelsinger’s ability to deliver successful products and embark on fruitful projects, as he is the one that kept shoving the inefficient Pentium 4 architecture down our throats, and he is also the one who headed the failed Larabee project.
