Andreas Nilsson also described GNOME 3.6 as “an important milestone in our mission to bring a free and open computing environment to everyone.

Most of you, including myself, who want to see the GNOME 3.6 desktop environment in action will have to wait until a major Linux operating system integrates it, such as the upcoming Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal).

What’s next? GNOME 3.8, which should be released on March 27th, 2013. See its upcoming features!
