Gigabyte Shows New Radeon HD 7750 Video Card

Taiwanese mainboard manufacturer Gigabyte is not letting its AMD Radeon video card lineup unprepared in the face of the new GK107 and GK106 assault from Nvidia. The company shows new pre-overclocked video cards with quiet cooling solutions.

The official denomination of the first of the two new AMD Radeon cards is Gigabyte HD 7750 OC 2GB GDDR3 (GV-R775OC-2GI) and this is a factory pre-overclocked adapter that implements the 100-millimeter cooling fan we’ve seen on Gigagbyte’s GTX 650 OC card we presented here.

The GPU is clocked at 850 MHz, but the memory is surprisingly of GDDR3 type and this is a rather unpleasant surprise as it will hurt the performance a lot.

We have no idea how much is Gigabyte saving in costs by using GDDR3 memory, but we clearly know how much performance is the potential buyer loosing.

The second card is called Gigabyte HD 7850 OC 1GB (GV-R785OC-1GD) and we’ve detailed it here.

The Radeon HD 7850 is definitely an interesting product, but we don't really see Gigabyte's strategy with the new Radeon HD 7750 video card.
