Gearbox Ready to Deliver All the Borderlands 2 Content Players Want

Borderlands 2 is already shaping up to be one of the biggest launches of the fall and the team working on the game is ready to support it in the long term and deliver all the downloadable content that the player base asks for.

Randy Pitchford, who is the leader of Gearbox, told Kotaku that, “The Borderlands 2 team is fired up at the moment. Customer love for the game is driving us wild – making us want to do more and more stuff.”

He added, “Our ambition and passion and our fans requests will also contribute to decision making about what we do. We’ve got some plans. We’ll be sharing some plans about that pretty soon. We’ve got a lot of awesome people working on post-launch content and we’ll talk about it soon.”

It’s not clear how gamers will be able to offer feedback on the content they get and reveal what other DLC they would like to receive, but Gearbox has a long history of talking to the player base on the official forums.

Pitchford has revealed that the team is putting the finishing touches on the Mechromancer characters and that it would be paying close attention to how the new character class is used and received by those who play Borderlands 2.

The Mechromancer DLC will be launched on October 16 and will allow all players to experience the entire game using a new gameplay style and new skill options.

Those who are part of the Premiere Club and have a season pass will get the new characters for free, while other players will have to pay 800 Microsoft Points, $9.99 or รข‚¬8.99.

Pitchford also talked about a potential version of Borderlands 2 for the PlayStation Vita handheld saying that it is a real possibility that it will appear in the future.

The developer previously suggested that a Vita port was in the hands on Sony.
