Club3D Shows Low Profile GeForce GT 640 4 GB Video Card

Traditional Nvidia add in board (AIB) video card manufacturing partner Club3D has just launched a new Kepler video card that belongs to the low end. The new card is powered by a modest GK107 28nm GPU, but sports an impressive 4 GB of video memory.

The company has built the card in a handy low-profile format, but unfortunately the modest cooling system makes the overall thickness of the card larger than one expansion slot.

Therefore, the new Club3D GeForce GT 640 4GB CGNX-G648L video card cannot be called a single-slot graphics adapter, which is most unfortunate because using a single-slot cooling solution on such a modest card is really not that complicated.

Pricing is strangely slated at 177 EUR ($230) so we can’t really call it affordable.
