Bing Reaches All Time High Still Years from Catching Up to Google

Bing is continuing to do well and reached an all-time high in the US in comScore's count in August. Bing reached 15.9 percent market share, a new peak; unfortunately, Yahoo lost the same amount so Bing-powered search is not advancing.

Google lost a small amount of market share, too little to make a difference. Google went from 66.8 percent in July to 66.4 percent in August. Google has been hovering around the 66 percent mark for many, many months now.

Yahoo dipped from 13 percent in July to 12.8 percent in August, countering Bing's rise from 15.7 percent to 15.9 percent.

Granted, Bing is at an all-time high, but at this rate of growth, it's going to take years for Microsoft to gain any significant market share, assuming that the trend continues, which is far from assured.
