Almost 1,600 Windows 8 Apps Are Now Available in Windows Store

Microsoft has made the right decision this week when it officially opened Windows Store to 120 international markets because the number of available apps is continuously growing.

No less than 1,600 apps are available now via Windows Store, according to a Tweeter post made by Wes Miller, the research VP of Directions on Microsoft, a third-party company working with the Redmond-based firm.

The United States is obviously holding the leading position, with a total of 1,153 apps, but Microsoft expects the number to grow in other countries as well. Most of the apps are available for free and can be easily accessed via the built-in Windows 8 Store.

If, however, you got money and you feel like it’s time to spend some, have a look here. This is currently the most expensive app sold via Windows Store and is specifically aimed at doctors who want to keep track of their patients.
