The 16th of August 2012: The Day Madonna Turned 54

One could not guess judging just by her figure and her bursts of energy, but today is the day the Queen of Pop, Madonna, turns 54. However, the chances that she'll soon give up on being her 'turbulent' self anytime soon are slim to none.

During the three-decades of her successful musical career, Madonna brought us both controversial lyrics and controversial videos, and made sure she got her fair share of media attention through the things she said and the things she did.

As most fans and musical experts explain, what kept Madonna under the spotlight for so long is her ability to forever change and adapt to the new demands raised as audiences evolve and change.

“I know that I’m not the best singer and I know that I’m not the best dancer. But, I can [expletive] push people’s buttons and be as provocative as I want,” she once stated and we can only agree that she more than lived up to this challenge she set for herself.
