Samsung Preps August 22nd Announcement for Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile

South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung might be on its way to launch a new smartphone on the airwaves of Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile in the United States.

The company has scheduled a press event on August 22nd, with both of these wireless carriers present there, and the release of a new device could be the reason for the meeting.

All that the press invite reads is that there will be a big announcement, but no other specific info on the launch has been provided.

Both Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile are Sprint subsidiaries, and their mother company already has some of the latest devices from Samsung available for its users.

Chances are that these phones would arrive on shelves at the pre-paid Sprint branches too, although this is only a supposition for the time being. Stay tuned for more on this.
