Pure White BlackBerry Bold 9790 Gets Launched in Hong Kong

Research In Motion (RIM) launched the BlackBerry Bold 9790 in Hong Kong back in February, but only the black color version was available for purchase.

However, this is about to change as RIM has just announced BlackBerry Bold 9790 in Pure White is now available from authorized partners in Hong Kong.

There are no details on the phone’s price tag, but we can speculate that the white-themed Bold 9790 is available for a similar amount as the black model.

Unlike the black Bold 9790, the white version comes with BlackBerry 7.1 operating system out of the box. Other than that, both color versions have the same specs sheet, so expect it to come with a single-core Marvel Tavor MG1 processor clocked at 1 GHz and 768MB of RAM.

In addition, the smartphone packs 8GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). There’s also a 5-megapixel rear photo snapper that features autofocus, LED flash and video recording.

Second only to Bold 9900 when it comes to hardware configuration, BlackBerry Bold 9790 combines a high-resolution touch display with a comfy keyboard and a precise optical trackpad.

The full QWERTY physical keyboard is one of the strong points of the phone, allowing for faster and more accurate typing.

With BlackBerry 7.1 OS, the Bold 9790 users can take advantage of the BlackBerry Tag feature, which can change the way users share information and content via NFC (Near Field Communication) technology.

Furthermore, a new Wireless Media Server feature is now included, allowing users to wirelessly connect the BlackBerry Bold 9790 smartphone to a game console, desktop or laptop computer and share music, movies, and pictures.

Last but not least, Wi-Fi hotspot is another feature available via BlackBerry 7.1 OS. It provides users with the option to share their cellular connection with up to 5 Wi-Fi-enabled devices, such as laptops, smartphones and tablets.
