ORICO Launches USB 3.0 to eSATA Adapter

Less-known computer accessories and storage unit manufacturer Orico has just launched a new USB 3.0 adapter. The new gadget allows the user to connect an eSATA cable to a USB port and Orico’s new toy comes with very fast USB 3.0 support.

The device is not providing any power through the connector so the external device must be powered from an external source.

The official model name for the USB 3.0 to eSATA adapter reportedly is CT6539U3E and the device is also compatible with USB 2.0 ports, but the transfer rate is over ten times slower.

Bottom line, Orico’s new gadget is very small and it will provide the buyer with a simple way to connect an external SATA drive to a notebook.

The pricing is set at $16 (13 EUR) .
