Mass Effect 3 Operation Olympus Was a Success

Despite the fact that the goals were quite high and that there aren't that many players actively engaged in Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode, last weekend's Operation Olympus was a success.

Mass Effect 3's online mode is treated with great care by developer BioWare who keeps offering lots of goodies in exchange for the completion of weekend challenges.

The latest Operation was Olympus, which tasked individual players with completing a full extraction on Firebase London, while the community had to complete wave 10 on 200,000 Bronze missions, 175,000 Silver ones, and 70,000 Gold ones.

BioWare offered some early results on Saturday night and the numbers weren't that impressive. Thankfully, the community managed a comeback and overtook the goals by a pretty wide margin.

According to the studio, 253,408 Bronze, 206,386 Silver, and 89,198 Gold missions were registered.

Victory and Commendation packs are now being sent out to players and, as a special reward for the Olympic effort, BioWare also added an extra Rare unlockable to the Victory Pack.

Expect the next Operation to be announced next week.
