eBuddy XMS Arrives in Beta on Nokia Devices

Owners of Nokia smartphones can now benefit from a new application that provides them with real-time messaging capabilities, namely eBuddy XMS.

Currently available only in a beta version, early beta, in fact, the application was made available for download so that users could offer feedback on their experience with it and additional enhancements would be added.

eBuddy already has a popular application available for download for the owners of Nokia devices, namely the eBuddy Mobile Messenger app, which has seen over 150 million downloads to date in Nokia Store.

“Today we would like to introduce you to the new real-time messaging application eBuddy XMS, brought to you by the messaging pros from eBuddy,” a recent post on the Nokia Beta Labs blog reads.

“We decided to develop eBuddy XMS to bring a real-time messaging experience to users with push-enabled devices. eBuddy XMS allows for a constant stream of communication, where users will never miss a new message from their friends.”

With the new eBuddy XMS application, users will be able to easily exchange messages with their friends, send them photos, and even group chat with up to 30 participants at a time.

However, as mentioned above, the software is still in early beta, which means that users might encounter a variety of issues with it.

“The application is still in its early stages of development and we look forward to feedback from beta testers willing to help us develop a great messaging solution,” the aforementioned blog post continues.

The software is available for download today for the owners of Nokia Series 40 6th Edition devices, S60 5th Edition (Symbian^1), Symbian (Symbian^3/Anna/Belle), MeeGo and Windows Phone handsets.

The application was also made available for the users of iOS, Android and BlackBerry devices, and can be found in their respective software portals.

Nokia owners are encouraged to download and test the application, and also to provide feedback on their experience, so that future releases would deliver better performance.

eBuddy XMS for Symbian can be downloaded from this page on Softpedia.
