Macgo has announced that its Mac Blu-ray Player supports OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, the latest version of Apple’s Mac operating system. With its AirX function, Mac Blu-ray Player can beam content from your computer right to an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.

Mac Blu-ray Player boasts 1080p playback which looks stunningly great on a new MacBook Pro with Retina display.

Macgo’s Mac Blu-ray Player is certainly not the first Blu-ray player for Mac OS X, but it’s one of the best and most reliable of the lot. It supports all Mac OS versions from 10.5 up, all Macintosh computer models, and plays any commercial Blu-ray disc/DVD released in any region.

Of course, your Mac needs to be equipped with a Blu-ray player. Whether it’s built in or external, the hardware is necessary if you’re going to play back discs. Digital downloads require only the player (the software).
