Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition Out for PS3 and Xbox 360 in October

From Software and Namco Bandai have confirmed that they’re going to release the Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, a special version of the challenging RPG with new content, onto the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles on October 26.

Dark Souls came out onto consoles last year and has just been released last week onto the PC in the form of the Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, which includes a special series of adventures for the protagonist.

Now, From Software and Namco Bandai have confirmed that the improved version of the game would also be released for consoles on October 26.

In case you already own Dark Souls for PS3 or Xbox 360, you can get the extra content, in the form of the Artorias of the Abyss DLC, for $14.99.

The add-on brings a new quest line that acts as a prequel for the actual game, filled with new enemies, weapons, bosses, and, given the challenging nature of Dark Souls, plenty of deaths for the player.
