It seems that acclaimed musician Jesper Kyd has a fondness for video games, as after working with Vigil on the soundtrack for the recently released Darksiders II title, the composer has been confirmed by Gearbox Software as the mastermind behind the soundtrack of its upcoming Borderlands 2 shooter.
Borderlands 2 aims at delivering plenty of improvements to the core gameplay of its predecessor, with sharper cel-shaded visuals, more upgrade mechanics, and a bigger open world.
Another area where the new game overtakes its predecessor is the soundtrack, as Gearbox composer Raison Varner has worked together with acclaimed musicians like Jesper Kyd as well as Cris Velasco and Sascha Dikiciyan.

The soundtrack for Borderlands 2 is available for pre-order on Amazon right now and will go on sale right alongside Borderlands 2 next month.
In case you forgot, Gearbox Software’s stylized shooter will be released on September 18, in North America, and September 21, in Europe and the rest of the world for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
