Adobe Proto for iPad 1.5 Extends File Management, Sharing

Adobe Systems has updated its Proto application for iPad. The software lets you create wireframes of websites and apps using Multi-Touch. The new version lets you Paste and Pin objects across selected pages. Other enhancements are also included.

“Adobe Proto lets you create wireframes of websites and apps right on your tablet,” says Adobe Systems Inc. “Design interactive wireframes and prototypes for websites and mobile apps with the convenience of simple touch gestures.”

Adobe Proto 1.5 lets you email your interactive wireframes as an attachment, as well as share interactive wireframes via Dropbox and other apps that integrate with the software.

Users can now share objects across pages with Paste and Pin, as well as Copy & Paste objects to different pages and to use the Menu bar objects as Global Menu across all pages.

The update further includes the ability to pin wireframe objects across all pages, Z-order change via Context Menu, as well as Lock and Unlock objects for editing.

Users can see the current page name while previewing a project, and they can rename a project in the action bar of the editor.

The app now shows the undo/redo count, and objects can snap to both CSS Column and Design Grid.

Code generation is now ordered according to the appearance in the page, and all pinned objects generate a separate common CSS file, according to Adobe Systems Inc.

Creatives can sync their wireframe to Adobe Creative Cloud to continue their work using Adobe Dreamweaver CS6.

For those who don’t own an account, Adobe offers free membership to Creative Cloud which entitles you to 2GB of cloud storage plus the ability to sync between tablet and desktop. You can also access files from the web, just like with Dropbox and Apple’s own iCloud.
