You Can't Link to the London Olympics Site Unless You Say Something Nice About It

The International Olympic Committee regularly makes the RIAA or the MPAA look like reasonable fellows. The IOC's stance on anything having to do with copyright, trademarks, endorsements and so on is draconian to say the least.

With the London olympics coming up, the IOC is ramping up on the "crazy" or, at least, people are now noticing more often the things that were already there.

For example, the fact that you can't freely link to the London 2012 website. This is not only in cases where you're misrepresenting yourself, as in, you're implying that you have some sort of direct link to the Olympics, which would be somewhat understandable.

No, you can't link to the "Site" if "such link shall portray us or any other official London 2012 organisations (or our or their activities, products or services) in a false, misleading, derogatory or otherwise objectionable manner."

As you can imagine, people aren't taking this very well and, of course, no one is actually taking the "legally binding"-if-you-visit-the-website terms of use seriously.
