Verizon Announces New Android Gaming Subscription Service


Major carrier Verizon Wireless and Exent have just announced the immediate availability of a new Android gaming service, GameTanium.

The new mobile gaming service requires monthly subscription and is available for both Android smartphones and tablets.

Those who wish to subscribe to Verizon's new GameTanium gaming service will have to pay a $5.99 USD monthly fee per device.

According to Verizon, GameTanium offers unlimited access to more than 100 of the most popular Android smartphone games and more than 50 tablet games, including Doodle God, Fruit Ninja and World of Goo.

GameTanium provides our Android customers with unlimited access to more than 100 games at a great value. Working with Exent has enabled us to immerse customers into the mobile gaming frontier and ultimately bring high-quality gaming options powered by 4G LTE,” said Kristi Crum, executive director of marketing, Verizon Wireless.

Thanks to the easy to use interface created by Exent, customers can browse and discover some of the best games picked by the company's editorial board.

The new gaming service provides access to extra features, such as parental ratings, rich game imagery and reviews. In addition, GameTanium subscribers benefit from fast download speeds and no advertisements, allowing for uninterrupted game play.

Verizon customers who with to subscribe to the new gaming service will find GameTanium smartphone and tablet apps in Verizon Apps on more than 30 Android devices, including Motorola DROID RAZR, HTC DROID INCREDIBLE 4G LTE and Motorola DROID XYBOARD 8.2.

It is also worth mentioning customers can also take advantage of the free trial offered by the carrier, which provides unlimited access for three days. Keep in mind that a Verizon data plan is required and usage may count towards a customer’s data allowance.
