New NHL 13 Trailer Shows Off True Performance Skating

The development team at EA Sports has released a new trailer for the upcoming hockey simulation NHL 13, which is designed to show how the new skating mechanics that have been implemented in the game change the experience of players.

The True Performance skating system is designed to make the simulation come closer to how the real world matches play out, allowing the various players on the ice to better approach the puck and adjust their speed when appropriate.

NHL 13 is being developed by EA Canada and will use a number of the ideas that have been very successful in recent installments of the FIFA franchise, including a bigger focus on physical contact between players and smarter team mates to support the gamer.

NHL 13 will be launched on September 11 in the United States and on the 13th in Europe, on the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft.
