Chinese company Huawei and Vodafone Australia have just inked a partnership to bring customers the Ascend G300 and Y100 Android smartphones.
Huawei Ascend G300 and Y100 will soon be available for purchase at Vodafone Australia for only $169 AUD and $99 AUD, respectively.
When it comes with hardware, Huawei Ascend G300 is the superior device. The handset packs a 1 GHz single-core processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 200 GPU and 512MB of RAM.
There’s also 4GB of internal memory (2.5GB user available), which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.
The Ascend Y100 is equipped with a slightly lower 800 MHz single-core processor, 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM. Just like the Ascend G300, the Y100 embeds microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

It is also worth mentioning that Huawei Ascend G300 sports a more than decent 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels, whereas the Ascend Y100 features a much smaller 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 240 x 320 pixels resolution.
“If you are looking for a good all-round smartphone, but don’t want to break the bancj, then the latest devices from Huawei’s Ascend range comes highly recommended, and can be perfectly paired with our $30 Prepaid Cap, one of Australia’s best all-round prepaid deals,” added Ross Parker, general manager of Devices at Vodafone Australia.
