Robert Shingledecker announced last evening, June 4th, the immediate availability for download of the Tiny Core 4.5.4 Linux operating system, including the Tiny Core Plus edition.
Tiny Core Linux 4.5.4 is another minor maintenance and bug fix release, bringing a few updated packages and tools, such as:
· Busybox was updated to version 1.20.1;
· The cleanup messages in scm-load were updated;
· tc-functions setupHome was updated for tighter home directory permissions;
· udevd was updated to reduce memory requirements.
Tiny Core is one of the smallest Linux distros out there, weighing in at just 10 MB, but still providing a full graphical environment. It is designed to be a highly mobile distro coming with just the bare-bones minimum, Linux kernel 3.x, Busybox, Tiny X, and Fltk.
