Apple Pulls OS X Messages Beta App

OS X Mountain Lion is making its presence felt already, despite still being set apart from the App Store for at least a month. Apple seeded new betas to developers, and it now pulled the Messages application initially released as a beta for customers to test out.

Without warning, Apple pulled the Messages beta app from its web site where some promotional banners would still indicate its presence. The software, however, is gone. Apple is likely done with the testing and is now ironing out all the bugs for a massive release in July.

According to Apple’s documentation, “With iMessage, you can send messages to anyone who has an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later, or a Mac with Mountain Lion.” The same goes for those who want to text their desktop friends from their iOS device.

Luckily, we have sites like Softpedia to keep a solid copy just in case.
