Google Runs a Special Doodle Just for You on Your Birthday

With the London Olympics series finally over, the good old-fashioned Google logo looks refreshing. Google even celebrated the return of the classic logo to the homepage with a brand spanking new favicon. Doodles, in recent years, have become increasingly elaborate and interesting.

Interactive doodles, animated doodles, videos, it's all been done and everyone has its favorite. But for all the technology or attention to detail of everyday doodles, the human touch always wins.

That's why the doodle you're most likely to be impressed by is not any game, it's the personalized doodle that shows up on the homepage for your birthday.

Granted, it's not much of a personalization since all Google users get it and there are hundreds of thousands or more likely millions of people that are going to see it on the same day as you.

There's not that much that is "human" about it either, it's all automated. And it isn't even that original, plenty of websites do something for your birthday. But for all the rationalization, it's still a cool thing to see.
