Motorola Launches RAZR V in Canada

Mobile phone maker Motorola has just announced a new Android-based handset destined for the Canadian market, namely the RAZR V.

The new device, a thin member of the RAZR family at only 8.4 mm, comes with DuPont Kevlar fiber on the outside, which provides increased sturdiness. It also sports a scratch-resistant screen, covered with invisible nano-coating shields to protect it from splashes.

The handset has been designed not only to offer increased robustness in thin body, but also to provide users with a great smartphone experience.

Thus, it comes with a SMARTACTIONS application, which was designed to learn users’ habits and automate everyday tasks.

Moreover, the software will provide suggestions on the options users have to personalize their devices, and also comes with a Battery Extender option meant to change phone’s settings so as to minimize battery drain when needed.

“We’re thrilled to launch another RAZR into the Canadian market,” says Michelle Digulla, general manager, Motorola Mobility Canada.

“Motorola RAZR V will be available through a wide selection of channels – bringing the iconic Motorola design and smarter smartphone experience to Canadians.”

The smartphone will deliver a great viewing experience while on the go courtesy of its high-res 4.3-inch ColourBoost touchscreen display, specifically designed for sharper, clearer images.

The new Motorola RAZR V also packs an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for full HD video recording, and with image stabilization for better clarity when snapping photos.

Moreover, users will find it very easy to share photos, videos and other content with their friends and family over social networks such as Google+ and Facebook, Motorola notes.

The new device comes with Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system loaded on it, and provides users with access to the over 600,000 apps and games that are available for purchase and download through the Google Play Store.

Starting with the third quarter of the year, Canadian users will be able to purchase the new Motorola RAZR V via Bell Mobility, Best Buy, Future Shop, Tbooth Wireless, The Mobile Shop, The Source, Videotron, Virgin Mobile, WIND Mobile, and more.
