Steven Shiau, the developer behind the popular Clonezilla Live CD distribution, announced on July 14th that a new stable release of his GParted Live CD Linux operating system for partitioning tasks is available for download.

Highlights of GParted Live CD 0.13.0-1:

· Based on Debian Sid repository as of 14 July 2012;
· Linux kernel 3.2.21-3;
· Includes GParted 0.13.0;
· Added web browser shortcut on the desktop;
· Added menu button keyboard shortcut for the Fluxbox root menu (useful when the GParted Live CD is used without a mouse).
 
Gparted Live CD is a bare-bones Linux distribution designed to allow users to boot up from a CD or USB and be able to use GParted to manage a system's hard disks.
