Galaxy Nexuss Price Drops to $99.99 at Sprint

As Galaxy S III and other high-end Android smartphone trickle in, older devices are either sent to the graveyard or offered for much lower price tags than before.

Sprint’s Galaxy Nexus is one of the smartphones to fall in the second category, and is now available through the carrier’s website for only $99.99 with the signing of a two-year agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate.

The handset, made official last year, offers support for 4G LTE networks, along with great performance courtesy of its 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU.

The smartphone also packs a 4.65-inch HD screen, 32GB of internal memory and 1GB of RAM, and a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of recording videos in full HD resolution.

Galaxy Nexus was the first smartphone to run under Android 4.0, and also the first to receive an update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (though Sprint’s model doesn’t have it yet).
