Avant Browser Build 176 Available for Download

Avant Browser 2012 moved to build 176 recently. The new release contains updates for various components as well repairs.

Among the modifications listed in the change log, there is also a mention that Chrome is now the default rendering engine in the application.

The fixes included in this revision refer to problems such as that of exiting from full screen/desktop mode after modifying the browser’s options or an error box popping up when exiting the application. Another fix refers to typed address not being recorded when unchecking the option Enable Auto-Complete for the Address Bar.

A Gecko-related issue that caused clearing records to bring up the Firefox Safe Mode dialog box has also been removed.

Build 176 of Avant Browser brings to the table update Gecko and Webkit engines. The former reached version 14.0.1.4580 while the latter is at 20.0.1132.57.
