Script of the Day: FUEL CMS

FUEL CMS is a content management system built on top of the well-known CodeIgniter PHP framework. Just like ExpressionEngine, FUEL CMS looks the part and moves and handles as good as it looks.

While not the easiest CMS to install, not benefiting from an automated install script, FUEL makes up for it  with its other utilities and features.

As expected, all content can be managed from a password-protected admin panel, with the aid of various WYSIWYG editing systems. From page editing, to multimedia files management and up to extensive documentation, FUEL CMS provides all that's required for programmers to get acquainted to and learn how to use the system as soon as possible.

Our favorite feature was the possibility to import static HTML pages inside the CMS. We tested this out and it handled much better than we expected. This should put FUEL CMS in some discussion when it comes to choosing a lightweight, reliable CMS for sure.
