Optus HTC Incredible S Receiving Android 4.0 ICS Update Now

Australian carrier Optus has just announced the immediate availability of the hotly-anticipated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for HTC Incredible S.

According to the carrier, the update is about 300MB in size, so it’s recommended to download it via Wi-Fi connection.

The update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so not all HTC Incredible S owners might get it at the same time.

Those who did not receive the notification update can manually search for it by going to Settings / About Phone / Software updates / Check now.

If the update does not show on the screen, we recommend checking back later, as Optus mentioned that the Android 4.0 ICS should reach all HTC Incredible S devices within the next couple of weeks.

Android 4.0 ICS brings new features and apps, such as face unlock, Android Beam, notifications, folders, and more.
