Google Maps Coordinate Enables Businesses to Keep Track of Employes on the Go

Google has been making an effort to conquer the enterprise market. It's making progress, but the going is slow. Part of the reason is that enterprises don't like change, moving from Microsoft Office to Google Docs is quite a change.

Perhaps a better strategy for Google is to esque change and come up with something entirely new.

That seems to be the thinking behind Google Maps Coordinate, a service for businesses which, as the name suggests, should make it easier for teams to coordinate. What it does is track employees wherever they are and also keeps them in touch with home base, via an Android app.

Team coordinators can see where everyone is at any given time enabling them to make more knowledgeable decisions, i.e. who to send where.

The tool is quite interesting and is one of the most original Google has come up with on the enterprise front. There are plenty of companies that have been looking for something like this too.
