Facebook to Debut Ad Exchange and Track Users Habits Across the Web

There's been some fuss, after Facebook's botched IPO, that the site isn't really making that much money. In fact, part of the reason why the IPO went down as it did was because Facebook had lowered the ad income estimates due to increased mobile usage, where Facebook doesn't have ads.

Facebook is working on improving its ad business and it's now ready to introduce one of the biggest new ad features yet, it's very own ad exchange and bid system.

It's going to be one of the most controversial new feature too since it relies on tracking user habits on the web, not just the site.

Facebook will keep track of what users are doing on sites that use like buttons, the comments box and so on, and will allow advertisers to target the users based on their actions.
