Django Unchained Teaser Trailer: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Vengeance

Luckily, Quentin Tarantino isn't in the habit of releasing 30-second teaser trailers, so the one for his upcoming film, the highly-anticipated “Django Unchained” clocks in at over 2 and a half minutes.

Check it out above in full and in HD, but do be warned: major awesomeness ahead.

The trailer, being the good teaser that it is, presents the plot in general strokes: Django (Jamie Foxx) is rescued by bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz).

Schultz wants him because he's the only one who can help him track down a group of slaver brothers. In return, he promises Django freedom and help in finding his wife (Kerry Washington).

She was probably sold to big-time slaver Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), officially the baddie of the film, so this means a reconciliation is looking a bit sketchy at first.

“Django Unchained” will be out in theaters on December 25. The “D” is silent, by the way.
