Diablo 3 Players Want Blizzard to Roll Back the Game and Its Auction House

It seems that the exploit that affected Diablo 3’s Auction House yesterday has caused a lot of players to call for a rollback from developer Blizzard, which would return their characters and gold stashes to their previous states.

Diablo 3 has been out for almost a month and quite a few problems have appeared concerning the role- playing dungeon crawler, from errors to different security vulnerabilities.

Yesterday, however, a new problem appeared, in the form of an exploit relating to the Auction House that uses in-game gold.

Through certain actions, players were able to dupe the gold that was being bid by others for their items, as well as create copies of the gear they had on sale.

Blizzard, for its part, has posted a message saying that it’s investigating the exploit, but hasn’t taken any actions.

As such, fans have gotten quite upset with the developer and some have even started calling for a rollback to be made to the game’s servers, which should return their characters and gold stashes to the previous states.

“I believe the game should be rolled back to day 1,” one player said on the Diablo 3 forums. “Clean / clear the auction house, and remove all the billions of gold that have been duped, and the millions of gold stolen from individuals using the bid stealing exploit.”

Other players, however, aren’t happy with a rollback and demand that Blizzard leave the game alone, even if there are exploits which harm everyone.

“Really it's youre [sic] own fault your freaking servers etc are a mess why should the community be the one getting the pain? If you do a rollback please rollback in youre [sic] bed and never touch a computer again and stop messing up the game,” another player said.

As of yet, Blizzard hasn’t posted any comments on these demands from its customers.
