Tom Hardy, Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio Team Up for Anti-Poaching Movie

As we reported on several occasions, poaching is presently a major issue worldwide and numerous organizations are doing their best in protecting various animal species from such illegal activities. Recent news informs us that conservation efforts will soon benefit from some much-needed three-star aid.

To cut a long story short: Tom Hardy, Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio made it public news that they are to team up and produce a movie aimed at raising awareness with respect to how poaching is affecting our planet's biodiversity.

Rumor has it that is was Tom Hardy who first thought about producing this Warner Brothers movie, but in all fairness Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio are also quite keen on animal rights and conservation projects, so let us work on the assumption that the credits for this green-oriented endeavor are to be equally split amongst all three of them.

For the time being, the movie has neither a title, nor a writer, but we can honestly expect that a solution to these relatively minor problems will be soon found.

Eccorazzi informs us that this anti-poaching cinematic production is bound to resemble Oscar-nominee “Traffic” quite a lot, meaning that said illegal hunting operations will be viewed from various perspectives in order to make sure that the general picture resulting in the end is as accurate as possible.

More precisely, some scenes will focus on the on-going battle between poachers and environmentalists, whereas others will shed some light on fashion companies that rely on things such as animal furs to create their haute couture outfits.

Tom Hardy apparently came up with the idea of producing this movie after several of his friends, who are now actively involved in fighting poachers in South Africa and other regions of the world, spoke to him about how important it is for more people to become aware of these threats to our planet's biodiversity.

Down below you have the official trailer for "Traffic," just in case you want to form an idea about how this soon-to-come-our-way cinematic production will look like.
