Skyrim Update 1.7 Out Today on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

After appearing on the PC platform, update 1.7 for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is finally going to come out later today for the game’s Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions.

Skyrim has received many patches since its release back in November and the latest one – update 1.7 – has already been made available for the PC platform earlier this month.

Now, Bethesda has confirmed that the new update will also come out later today on the Xbox 360 platform worldwide and on the PlayStation 3 console in North America. European owners of Skyrim on PS3 will be able to download it next week.

The patch brings quite a few fixes to the game and, on the PS3, it introduces the long-awaited mounted combat mechanic that’s already been available on the PC and Xbox 360 platforms since update 1.6.

Expect to hear some exact times for the release of the patch later today.
