Rumor Mill: Black Ops 2 Will Includes eSports and Kinect Support

Rumors suggest that the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops II first-person shooter will include support for eSport matches and will use the Kinect motion tracking system from Microsoft.

A self-described Activision insider has told Dualshockers that, “Black Ops 2 will now have a live streaming feature built right in. You can automatically stream your gameplay over the internet easily. You would require a camera though for the feature that shows your face. This may or may not work with Kinect.”

The publisher has not offered any comment on the rumors.

It’s unlikely that Kinect will be a part of Black Ops 2 because Activision has a policy of not including game features that cannot be replicated on all the devices on which one of its titles is launched.

The eSport angle might be interesting to the publisher considering the experience that Blizzard has had with the likes of Starcraft 2 and the DOTA mod for Warcraft.
